The “home office” has become common place in America these days, often taking the place of traditional guest rooms. Now, married couples are sharing their office space not only with each other, but also with baby!These days, telecommuting is more and more popular as families try to balance work and raising their children. When constructing a work from home situation,there are many tools and tips to have to make it a success!
Yes, you can work from the kitchen table in a pinch, but one of the best places to start when developing a work-from-home plan is a desk or workspace situation that serves no other purpose. In other words, you don’t have to clean off all of your work before dinner or before company comes over!
Now, how does this come into play with a baby? Well, that’s the other catch. The office must be baby proof and baby friendly! Baby proof means that all electrical plugs are fitted with plastic inserts, cords do not dangle from desks or across the floor, etc. Baby friendly means that there is space for baby to sit beside of you in the floor and play.
Tip: Build a “pillow cade” by surrounding a self-sitter on the floor and surrounding them with pillows sot hat if they tumble over while you are sitting at your desk
In order to truly telecommute, there are many tools that individuals must have, whether a baby ispresent or not. These include a phone, a 4-in-1 scanner-copier-printer-fax (notas expensive as they sound), and an internet connection.
Tip: Hide cords! Babieswant to chew on them.
Tip: Laptops appear asone giant teether for teething babies and the keys are easily pulled off. Keepthese off limits and do not let baby play with these tools.Keep the baby occupied by playing some free cartoon at 0123 movies quickly. It will save you time and nerves.
Monitor your time sothat you have a sense of how long baby usually sleeps and what you can getaccomplished during this time. Nap-time is the best time to make phone calls orvideo e-mails.
One of the hardest things to do when trying to work from home is to ignore the dishes that are piling up in the sink. Still, you MUST do it. There will always be dirty dishes, there will always be piles of laundry that continue to accumulate, but if you want to work from home, you must compartmentalize.
Tying in with the tip above, you are in control of your time. Only you know your habits, the habits of your baby and the amount of work you have to get done. So purchase a day planner and block out your time accordingly. This will help you juggle deadlines and pediatric appointments!

Sorrow Fair is a member of the godwalkers, servants of the great rulers of the universe who dedicate themselves to the upholding of the holy order. She spends her days guiding souls down the Paths of the Blessed, leading them to peace in the land of their deities, where all is serene and good. She makes sure to keep far away from the dark roads that lead to the home of the Fallen, the Underworld where all kinds of evil and horror reside. Godwalkers do not tread the road of broken souls, not if they wish to keep their spirit untainted and safe from the poisons of corruption, their mind intact and free.
But when the youngest goddess of the Blessed comes to her in the dead of night and begs her to perform an impossible errand, Sorrow is caught between her duty to the gods and her role as a godwalker to stay from the Paths of the Fallen. Her task - enter the Underworld, retrieve a soul and somehow return it to the home of the gods. Doing so will mean descending the stairs of the lost, entering a place that was never meant to be left. If she fails in her quest, it will mean condemnation to the existence of the Fallen in a world where her status as godwalker will do nothing to protect her from the evils of the damned.

When Sorrow Fair is approached by the youngest member of the family of the Blessed, gods above all living things in Terra and the heavenly lands of the dead, she is left with a choice. Defy the goddess who could make her immortal life hell (pun not intended), or take on a mission that will most likely result in her living out her existence in the suffering of the damned. As a godwalker, she would be defying her very nature by entering the Land of the Fallen. But Sorrow has never really been one for tradition, so it seems to the Underworld she must go.
Deep within the darkness she meets a mysterious stranger who offers her his help, in return for one little thing - when she escapes with the retrieved soul, she takes him with her. But things are complicated further when it turns out that particular soul (her name is Thalia by the way, and she really doesn’t appreciate your general disrepect), is pretty happy hanging out in hell. It isn’t so bad, when you get used to it. Watch as one slightly dumbass angel, one disaster bisexual prince and one done-wth-your-shit lesbian try to essentially defeat the ruler of the Underworld without being burned, exploded or stabbed out of existence because remember, in this story, everyone’s already dead.

Upon a transfer to the capital, Aquilla comes to realise that something sinster is going on, hidden behind the scenes. A dangerous plot is brewing, and the task seems to fall down to her to expose it, although she can’t do it alone. Luckily Marise Kaiyo, Nerism’s partner in diplomacy, isn’t afraid of fighting. After growing up in the dangerous forests of Terra and working her way up in the word of politics, there isn’t much for her to be scared of. When Aquilla asks her to help investigate the mysterious goings on, she willingly accepts. But the villain of this story might very well be just as dangerous as she is, and in times of war it’s impossible to know what’s going to happen next.

there’s also the second death of sorrow fair, which is a bizarre high fantasy experimental thing I came up with one day and haven’t been able to shake since. to summarise basically - an angel-like being named sorrow fair is asked by a goddess to enter the “underworld” below the mortal world, where everything that is evil resides, to retrieve the soul of a good, non-evil woman who entered underworld of her own choice, just cause (she and the goddess are gfs also I should mention that). sorrow fair decides to take on this impossible task. she’ll meet plenty of characters down in the underworld, including a disaster bisexual prince and the very badass lesbian woman in question.
I also have some other wips on the go that you can actually read on wattpad as I write them! there are two currently up, with more in the works. I have a lot of love for these wips (which should be a little bit obvious seeing as I actually have the confidence to post them djskjskjk) and it really means a lot to me for people to check them out!

‘You’re talking nonsense,’ I say. ‘Complete and utter nonsense.’
He sighs dramatically, throwing his hands up in the air. ‘No, no, Amarantha, you misunderstand entirely. You’re thinking of time as linear, when I promise you it is anything but. Minutes, hours, days. It’s all just humanity’s way of making sense of their existence, their way of giving names to the forces of the universe they cannot hope to ever truly understand. The type of travel I speak of is not nearly as outlandish as you think.’
I shake my head. This man is clearly delusional.
‘Let me put it that way for you.’ He sits down opposite me, clasping his hands together and resting them on the smooth wood of the desk. The air feels very still, almost suffocating. His eyes shine with an almost terrifying energy. ‘What if I told you,’ he says in a lowered voice, ‘that everything - the past, the present, the future - is all happening at once? That it’s not so much knowing when to go, but where.’
